Solar and EV charger questions, answered
Is the solar and EV charger estimate really free?
Yes. A Titan electrician checks your panel, your roof readiness, your electric bill and your charger location, then gives you a written quote. There's no cost and no obligation.
Do I need a panel upgrade before adding solar or an EV charger?
Sometimes. Many older homes in Southern California have 100 amp panels that can't safely carry solar, a battery and a Level 2 charger together. We check your panel during the free estimate and tell you plainly whether you need an upgrade.
Do you install Tesla chargers?
Yes. Titan Electric is a Tesla Preferred Installer. We install Level 2 home chargers for Tesla and all major EV brands, on a dedicated circuit with permits and inspection handled.
Will a Powerwall keep my power on during an outage?
A battery backup system keeps the circuits it's set up to cover running when the grid goes down. How many circuits, and for how long, depends on the system size, and we show you that before you sign.
Is there still a federal tax credit for solar or EV chargers?
Not for new installs right now. The federal homeowner tax credit for solar and batteries ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025, and the federal EV charger credit ended for chargers placed in service after June 30, 2026. Ask a tax professional about your situation.
Is my roof ready for solar?
Our sister company, Superior Roofing Systems, can check your roof before any panels go up and handle repairs or a solar ready replacement if it needs one. Your roof and your solar come from one team.

Yes. We handle permits and inspections on every job, so the work is documented and up to code.
